The Norway-Vulcan High School band room is best accessed on 4th Avenue in Norway. Park in front of the Fine Arts Center and walk up the sidewalk between it and the playground to the band room door.

The following standards have been required at all music rehearsals of this production of Oliver as of January 5, 2010:

 

Please arrive on time.

Please respect the rehearsal time of others by arriving quietly.

Please review and study all music you have been given before you arrive for your scheduled rehearsal.

These are professional standards and we expect that they will be observed.

We will change this schedule as needed.

the following cuttings are taking place for the 2 shows Wednesday...please take note..if you do set changes or props please do a print out if you can for your personal use..I will have some for BACKSTAGE;

ACT ONE;
Scene 1: No changes
Scene 2 "I shall scream..cut..Oliver will stay on stage with Bumble & Corney end of Scene 1..going right into Boy For Sale...through the audience. Props Olivers Coat & Bundle needs to be in Stage left hall.

Set Change to Scene 6 (Pic a Pocket may get cut FOR AFTERNOON SHOW WILL CHECK TIMING) if cut we will do only the dialogue and Oliver's stealing of the handkerchief with Fagin)...OLIVER CAPTURE ..
SET AS USUAL 4X8'S MOVED,PROPS STRUCK FROM FAGINS.

NO INTERMISSION; WE WILL GIVE THE KIDS A BREAK BUT LEAVE THEM IN THEIR SEATS BUMBLE WILL DO THE INTERMISSION..FRED SEE ME

SET FOR ACT TWO WHILE FRED IS ENTERTAINING.

ACT TWO;
SCENE 1 NO CHANGES

SCENE 2 BROWNLOWS SET ..NO CHANGES

SCENE 3 LEAVE BROWNLOW SET, STRIKE PROPS...DIAGLOGUE & FINE LIFE  CUT...
PROPS SET FAGINS TABLE ONE CHAIR & MONEY BOX  STAGE LEFT...FAGIN PLAY 'REVIEWING THE SITUATION'  TO THE KIDS..USE THE WHOLE STAGE WHILE WITH THE VIOLIN. YOUR WITHOUT YOUR USUAL PROPS

SCENE 4;PLAY IN BROWNLOW SET..MOVE 4X8'S TO STAGE LEFT FOR "old Sally & Annie; leave them there and get them ready for the bridge scene with rails.
Props put Corney Bench, hat rack, chair in front of Brownlow set usual placing strike after scene

Scene 5: Brownlow,Bedwin,Nancy make entrances from behind the set..NO STAGE PROPS needed...omit 4x8's get them ready for the bridge with rails on..

Scene 6: Bridge; will be played very dark...Nancy & Sykes cut fight on bridge stay on 4 foot platform will go to black at actual killing need the scene tamed down request of the school...all else will play as rehearsed.

FINALE ; NO CHANGE,...acknowledge John at the Piano..then make the usual exit into the lobby..need to go quickly as kids need to catch their buses...but need to meet the cast

BIG NOTE: ACT II  FAGINS GANG IS FOUND ONLY IN SCENE 6 AND FINALE...BRING THINGS TO DO SO YOU STAY OUT OF TROUBLE...

We are receiving great comments about the show lets entertain the kids too.
